In line with our firm commitment to training and developing exceptional talent, this person will join our Global Market Access and Pricing (GMAP) team in the Global pricing implementation team to learn and grow through active collaboration with our team.

Conditions:

Duration: January 2026 to end of June 2026 – 6 months with possibility to extend to a full year if agreed 

Hours per day: Full time

Location: Barcelona Estele building, 

Focus area: Global Pricing and Market Access in BBU with a focus on supporting operational work within the team such as reporting, analytics, data gathering and support of team members in the development and enhancement of pricing implementation tools, training resources and documentation requirements. 

Training through practical experience: 

Learning objectives for this role is aligned to three main areas:

Understanding the area of BBU market access and pricing and the complexities of the global market place and environment in a pharma company

Ability to hone business essential capabilities in the areas of communication, business writing, engagement of stakeholders (internally), business analytics requirements and complex enterprise situations and considerations, clear understanding of the work in a large, fast paced global organization ,without having the pressure of a full fledged employee

Actively engage with the BBU and broader oncology GPI team in local team meetings, activities and training sessions

Support GPI BBU team projects under the supervision of the project lead to deliver part and elements of the final project, ensuring that the intern understands the project objectives, broader impact and context within the business to support their learning and better outcomes 

Prepare draft training materials and resources for the GPI team and broader GPI market audience as required to support capability development opportunities 

Present findings and insights from their and communicate findings within the GPI team meetings and share their learnings on a regular basis – this supports the communication skills of the individual and engagement of stakeholders in a safe and trusted environment

Support the development of system reports (with training on the system provided) to enhance price operations functions within the team 

Assist in the creation of resources and tools that are designed to enhance the process simplification within the GPI Team – this could include Excel models, enhancement of our AI work under way with IT, reporting templates etc. 

All tasks would be under the supervision of an experience pricing team member of the team, (all members have several years of business and pricing expertise in AstraZeneca). The intern would be assigned to a “supervising” lead for day to day support and engagement and work with other team members based on the current project support requirements. Project assignment over the work term would vary with both the individuals interests, teams needs and priorities. The work effort in GPI is spanning a broad set of tasks and opportunities, such as development of training resources, development of reports designed to create business efficiens, modelling of pricing scenarios and outcomes, IT engagement as we are in the middle of a major AI engagement to create business efficiencies, work with databases and individual AZ markets to support the analysis of business cases and information management. 

Requirements 

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in the areas of business preferred

  • Elegible to sign an internship agreement with a University

  • Strong team work and collaboration skills, clear communicator, ability to understand complex situations and work with multiple stakeholders and team members. Agility to adapt and creative solution oriented mind set

  • Strong analytical skills and thinking, ability to learn and use different technologies and tools, ability to structure information and data into useful information and insights
